Freelance UX/UI designer for digital products

I design interfaces and product experiences for large digital brands — the actual screens, flows and components people use. I'm a freelance designer based in Rotterdam, and I tend to work where interface design meets design systems, so the work stays consistent as a product grows.

My clearest interface work is the philips.com e-commerce redesign — product pages, purchase journeys and the system behind them. On KLM and Odido, a lot of the job was turning brand foundations into real, usable interface patterns.

What I help with

  • Interface and product design for web and app
  • Designing for full journeys, not just isolated screens
  • Turning brand foundations into usable UI patterns
  • Working inside an existing design system and product team

Why teams bring me in

Usually when a product needs senior interface design that also respects the system behind it — someone who can design a strong page and keep it consistent with everything around it. I'm most useful joining an existing team for a project or phase, working within the system rather than around it.

Where I've done this

Philips — e-commerce interfaces

On the philips.com redesign at Code d'Azur, we designed for the full purchase journey — discovery through to purchase — and the pages against it. The flagship product detail page had to do more than list specs: it combined benefits, feature highlights, comparison cues and trust content into one clear, persuasive experience for high-priority products.

KLM & Odido — brand into interface

On both, a big part of the work was translating brand foundations into real interface elements — buttons, inputs, cards and states built on a shared shape language and component library, so the interface felt like one product rather than a set of separate screens.

How I work

  1. Design the journey, then the screens
I work out which patterns need to stay consistent across a flow before designing individual pages against them.
  2. Lean on the system
I design in components and patterns so the interface holds together as the product and the team grow.
  3. Mind the craft
Hierarchy, type, colour and the in-between states are where an interface earns trust. That's part of the work, not clean-up.

FAQ

What kind of UX/UI work do you do?

Interface and product design for large digital brands — the actual screens, flows and components, backed by a system so they stay consistent. On Philips that meant designing product and purchase pages for an e-commerce platform; on KLM and Odido it meant turning brand foundations into real interface patterns.

Do you design flows or just screens?

Both, but I think in systems. On Philips we designed for the full journey — discovery, consideration, purchase — and worked out which patterns needed to stay consistent across it, then designed the pages against that. The flagship product page, for example, had to do more than list specs: benefits, comparison cues and trust content in one clear experience.

Do you plug into an existing team?

Yes, that's most of how I work — as a senior freelance designer inside product, design and brand teams, for a project phase or longer. I'm comfortable working within an existing system and codebase rather than starting from a blank canvas.
